Have you tried Acura of Las Vegas yet?

You could always e-mail them and see if they have it. Also, getting the MT version for the AT is no big deal...in fact, a few people did it intentionally so the front and rear would drop equally (although after mine settled, I see no difference with the AT version).

I forsee a move to Tire/Wheels/Suspension forum.

Or you can

a) email the guys at Acura of Escondido to see when they are getting an AT kit in, or

b) do an eBay search for "a-spec suspension" as there are other dealers offering it.

I would go for the M/T version on your Auto. I did this on mine and gave a nice even drop. The front is more level with the rear now.

depends on dealership, but suppose a shock blows and they have to get a new one, if it is one of the fronts they may order an AT one and make your car uneven

The only difference between the M/T and A/T version is the springs are ever so slightly stiffer on the A/T version, becasue the frontend is heavier on the A/T TL.

Since the front springs are bit lighter on the M/T suspension kit, the drop is slightly more when you install the M/T Aspec on an A/T.

I would check with your local dealership. Mine said it wouldn't affect my warranty.

I think my dealer want just shy of $600 to install it two years ago, so I could see a dealer looking to get that now. That's also why I ended up doing it myself. If you can't/don't want to do it, find a local shop that does suspension and/or Honda work...they will do it for a lot less than the dealer. The local franchise of HondaWorks here is very good.

That's a big increase. I bought mine from Las Vegas Acura last September for $625 plus shipping.

My dealer quoted $450. Hmm I should strongly consider it if I can get the suspension within reasonable price. I think $850 for a mere a-spec if too expensive. I would rather pay more and get Tein SS only if it would not void my warranty.

a-spec vs. aftermarket

Aside from warranty issues, I would love to know if there is any real advantage of A-Spec over aftermarket... Acura touts that the A-Spec suspension components are "engineered to work together," but might there be aftermaket shocks & springs that can do an even better job?

THere are compaines that provide a better drop and set up, by the A-spec is easy to install and requires little or no adjustment. As well, it is warrantied from any acura dealer and also gives peace of mind that incase of a failure, you are safe and covered.

Westchester Acura. Find them on eBay. Ask for Joe. Really nice guy, will explain everything to you. Reasonably priced.

A-Spec not so hard to find afterall

FYI, buying A-Spec suspension components today from Las Vegas Acura was not a problem. Then I learned I could have ordered directly from the Acura E-Store and had them shipped to my dealer for free. So although I had trouble finding a dealer in the Northeast willing to break up a kit for me, the e-store didn't hesitate. I assume that at some point Acura made the decision to permit their e-commerce division to sell components separate from the kit but didn't encouage their dealers to join them.

Heard through the grapevine that the A-Spec's marketing was terribly mismanaged from the start. Could it be that dealers are as uninformed as their customers or is it that they simply make more money by force-feeding the whole kit? At this point I'm not sure if I need to know the answer. I'm just happy I got it done.
