Aspec Prices-Input Needed!!

I was looking into 6MT Aspec suspension for my 2007 Acura TL and the dealer quoted me 643 dollars is this good?? I guess it may be decent, but what really threw me for a loop was the install of it. Dealer wants 650 dollars for install and allignment is this a good deal? Seems kind of expensive to me, is there any other place that can do if for cheaper, or should I stick with the dealer???

Honestly, for $643 I think your better off getting the HT Spec type 1 coilovers for $600. I'm pretty sure it should perform better than the A-spec and you can adjust height.

As for as the install, $650 is very expensive. You can get the same thing done for less than $300, alignment included I believe.

Yeah I thought about those, but wanting to keep it as close to stock as possible that is why I thought this would be the best idea, but 650 dollars just to put it in just seems crazy to me considering its all assembled right? Anyone, else know where this could be done at or for cheaper?

This can be done at any kind of tuning shop. I had mine done for $100. $650 for the suspension is fair, but forget the dealer install. Just go somewhere that looks clean and reputable.

To expensive for install. Price of the suspension isn't too bad.

and how long to install? Acura says like six hours (1.5 each corner) Does it really take that long or could it be done in like 2 to 2.5 hours? Anyone???

well if a mechanic has done it multiple times they can probably do it in 4-5 hours then the cost to align... you have to remember a dealer has a lot of overhead to cover that is why they charge the prices they do... you can probably find a shop to do it for $300 but make sure its someone who is familiar with having worked on TL suspension before

With help from a friend, I had mine installed in less than 2hrs. 4-6hrs is crazy.

Note: I already had the seat ready to slide out.

just got off the phone with another dealer said it would take 9 hours (2 hours just on the struts) is this even accurate, or is this a way to say we don't want to deal with this?

like i said before...DIY OR indy shop will be way cheaper. and it shouldn't be an issue, its plug and play with the kit.

the dealer is giving BS book times and prices.

my brother and i did it in 3 hours after cussing at some of the rust and the use of air tools. he said if he had to do it all over again knowing what he knows...2-2.5 hrs with an extra set of hands and eyes.
