am i the only one who might get 17x8 aftermarket rims?
i am in the minority, but i don't really like the factory 18" a spec rims.
i like the look of 18's, and 19's are badazz, but in chicago, 19's prolly won't last for a daily driver like mine.
so i might do 18's or 17's.
i see a lot of import rim companies, but am only familiar with companies like enkei, volk, advan, etc.
if i were to go 17x8 shopping, what offset in mm's would i need? and does anyone have any suggestions of any non-chrome, rims that don't have a lot of spokes?
my car is anthracite.

I would go with 18's. But that's just me.
The stock offset is 45mm. If you have the 6MT you also have to be careful about brake clearance. If the spokes are designed in such a way that it hits the Brembo calipers, they will not fit.

18" is fine for a daily commuter.
i live in NJ and the roads here are very unpredictable.
here are my 18" SSRs. 18x8.5 +42mm 245/40/18.
i park the 18" set during winter and use my stock wheels with the Falken
512's during the winter.

I'm trying to stay at the same size,17x8. I appreciate the comfort of more rubber between me and the road. But who knows, I might try 18s and see how the ride is. 3PUTT, I used to have the SSR Comps on my Integra. They were only 15s of course but I love the fact that they are about 8.5 pounds! How much do they 18s weigh?

speedo does not really get affected by much. only by a very tiny fraction.
i based this on a roadside radar station set up by my house. someone also explained the difference in one of the threads a while back.
i belive each wheel is 16.8 lbs. www.tirerack.com has the specs.
