Advice needed!

Hey guys, so i'm not really new here because I barely post but i read threads nearly everyday. I needed some help, I got an 04 WDP and still got stock rims. I got the aspec kit from a vendor on the forum and now looking to get some 18inch or 19inch rims. Obviously stock look is the best so I was looking for the aspec rims. I found some on eBay but would like someone to tell me if they are original and are they set to go as in just put tires on and good to go.

The rim width of those is 7.5 so those are the TSX A-Specs. You're going to want to look for 18x8 or if you're incredibly lucky, 18x8.5. (18x8.5 is rare)

They will fit but you'd be going a little smaller on the width. Stock is 17x8. Some people don't mind it, if it's just a daily driver and you're not racing it you will be fine.

Also, if you did want the 18x8 you'd be looking at nearly double the price of those you linked us.

Okay I can kind of help...

The first link is the A-Spec suspension which came on the A-Spec TL's from factory. That includes all the suspension stuff you'll need if you did want to change over. It lowers the car 3/4" I think...but, you can get it here (link), for much cheaper. (Call up that place to see if it is the full kit to just be sure.

The second link is just shocks.

If you're looking to just replace the shocks and have no intention of lowering the car you can go to an Acura dealer and get OEM ones or any parts place.

I'd get the springs changed too, but sounds like you have worn shocks. Thats basically what a strut is iirc: a shock and coil plus various other components.

You can go OEM which can be expensive or you can go aftermarket.

You will get what you pay for with suspension components! your OEM lasted 140K. do not skimp on some cheap coilovers that will compromise your ride comfort and handling. There are several aftermarket options available that are quality products, but they are not the cheap ones. What are your goals? thats a critical question to ask yourself.

do not cheap out on tires, wheels, brakes or suspension. You get what you pay for in those areas.

But like he said, ask yourself what you're looking for. Are you wanting to lower the car? Do you want fully adjustable ride height and damping settings? Or do you want to stay at the same height?

If you're looking for adjustable height and damping then coilovers are the way to go.

If you are looking for coils, this is a great guide. If not, simply don't click on it.
