+35 front and +20 rear offsets...... Will it work? Look ok?

Just picked up a new set of xxr 968's 18x9 with +35 for the front and +20 for the rear. Wl there be an issue with rub? If so how much? It's bagged so I know I can eliminate the rub by dropping it, but obviously continuous driving on that much negative camber will lead to uneven and premature tire wear. So I leave it to the acura gods here for some insight.

Thanks for the help.

What are the tire sizes? And why did you get wheels with such a large difference between offsets?

Tires are falken ziex ze 225/40/18. With intentions to achieve a small amount of stretch. As for separate offsets, it's the deal I took as opposed to a 90 day back order. And the deal I got was rather nice despite the offsets.

Check out the XXR 530 thread...there are plenty of people that have the similar offsets (+33 front +20 rear). 225/40/18 tires was what was recommended for those offsets...some even went 215 to avoid rubbing while being really low. At the very least you will have to roll your rear fenders though.

Awesome. Thanks for the direction. Out of curiously, how much stretch could be expected with a 225/40 on a 9" wide wheel?

Thanks again.

225mm = 8.85 inches.

your wheels are 9 inches.

You can find tons of info/pictures in that XXR 530 thread or ask one of those guys. If I recall those wheels are close to what you have at 18x8.75 and I think the 225 was maybe a very slight stretch....but certain tires seemed to have more of a stretch for some reason than others.

I think the big stretches where when trying to fit the 18 x 9.75's. But I could be wrong. Check it out though

tyrestretch.com can show you pictures of tire stretch on different size wheels with different size tires, sidewalls, etc.

Also keep in mind that the maximum manufacturer recommended width for a 225 is 9 inches, but it IS still within spec, so technically speaking, while it is a little bit of a stretch, its well within norms.

The 530 thread is definitely a godsend as mentioned above. I would go with 225 and not give it a second though. Most people running XXRs end up going that route and seem to be quite happy. Rockstar143 for example is running Advan RS 18x9 +29 on 225 tires and he seems to be very happy with his setup.
