255/35/19 8.5 High offset?
Hey,
I've been looking for a set of 19s for a while but to no avail.
I'd prefer to land something around the 245/35/19 mark but i recently came across a set of 255/35/19 that seemed to come off of a new tsx...
I know ive heard and read that 255 is too beefy for the TL, but has anyone ever tried?
I'm running with stock springs so i am not lowered.

No, I mean... the person selling them... took them off of their TSX. I believe it was an 09 or 10 TSX.
I am not sure.... but I was curious if anyone has tried to run with this tire size.
I think I could get a good deal on the rims but I am trying to see if I would need to buy new tires.

In any case, if I can get the wheels with tires for like $800... it seems like a good deal... but you don't think it would look good uh?

Personally I think those wheels are ugly. However, it's your car, and if you want them they'll fit fine. However, if/when you lower the vehicle, you'll need to roll the rear fenders.

I dont see where he is going to gain wheel gap . If anything a 255 over a 235 is going to fill the wheel opening more ... But it will also raise the car off the ground just a wee bit. And it will mess up the speedo a bit.

To be honest, I haven't really found a set of rims I REALLY liked as yet but I thought they looked iight and for the price with tires seemed like a decent deal.. I'd prefer to find something with a 5 star, double spoked pattern with a lip but those ones didn't seem to bad. I need to look at some more options but I saw a few being sold with that tire size, that's why I asked.
I have a pair of 20's (20"x7.5 +40) with 245/35/20 tires that I can't seem to use so I was trying to find some 19s.
All in all, I appreciate all your opinions and that's why I posted this thread so no worries.
So, from what I am hearing.... 255/35/19 size tires on a 19"x8.4 +40 wheel can fit on the car without any modifications correct?

we are more function over form.
the OP would rather sacrifice a little bit of function for more form.
it wont hurt the ride at all, OP.
it's your preference and there's nothing wrong with that.
if it were me tho, I'd wait till I find a set of wheels that I REALLY wanted and not settle.
it takes time to learn and find that perfect set.
be patient!

In agreement with these guys. Or if you know anyone with wheels with similar specs, test fit them. Just like a carpenter, measure twice and cut once. You don't want any regrets. For me, I have a lot of studying to so. I want to run a 18x9.5 with 265/40/18. So I need to figure out my offset. I don't want to pull fenders. Rolling is fine though.
Yeah I know. CSB.
