20" rims

I want to put some 20s on my 2002 TL Type S. I talk to a local shop and they said I can do it have no trouble with rubbing. I've seen people do 19s but have any of you guys done 20s.

I would put 19s but I dont want to drop it at all (bad experiences with dropping my cars). And I hate gaps.

Possible???

Later guys,
Aman

Wheels are easier to find 20's in than finding the right tires.

theoretically if you could get a 235/30/20 then that would be the most perfect size tire for our car...reality only gives us a 245/35/20 and that's like 4 inches taller than stock so that sux...well when u do get duece zeros hook us up w/pix...Shyne

Get your hacksaw and hammer ready! 20's just aren't made for our cars. Stick with 19's...you'll be happy you did.

If I thought 20's would look good, let alone fit properly, I would have bought them instead of the 19's that are currently in transit.

Best bet is to stick to 19's. Trust me...if 20's was doable I would have already done it. But hey...if you really wanna be different and don't mind the risk...I say go for it.

I will probaby go with the 20s because have seen 19s on a TL and it still leaves a gap giving my the impression that 20s should fit. I wouldnt mind little rubbing as long as there is no damage to the car.

I had my civic slammed on 17s and it use to rub like hell on making u turns and some sharp turns, But I never had any damage to the car or tires. It would rub for about a week when I had new tires, then when the tires wore down a little it would be fine.

Besides the shop I am planning to buy from said that they would but the same size rim and tire on me car before I order my wheels.

Its still gonna be a few weeks before I buy so I guess we will see. I think I am gonna go with Lowenhart BR5s. What do yall think.

Later guys,
Aman

Did it have a kit? I knew it would jack the car up a little bit, but if you put a kit on it it should make it look better?

DO IT MAN. If you try the 20's...I'll give you props for that fa sho. Better post pics too.

IMHO, I don't think it'll work. But then again...I'd love to be proven wrong! It'll have to be dropped fairly low to get it to look right.....good luck man. You'll certainly be VERY original.
