20 inch rims on TL?

Looking for pics of 20's..really wanted 19...but came across good deal on some TSW 20's on 235-30-20 Nittos.

They have a 40 offset and 8.5 wide.

Thanks.
Troy.

TRIOD3SIGNS, nice job on painted front and rear lips - used to be grey.

Should clear or black out headlights.

I am back and forth with 19-20. For the members running 20" with 35's, do you all have a roll? I don't plan on lowering and need 35's, but I keep hearing mixed things whether they will rub and if I need a roll. I was planning 245/35/19 with 8.5 45+, but if I went 20", would I need to get 225 to get the 35's to fit? 35's on 245 would give me 85.75 sidewall but if I go 225 I'm down to 78.75.

Since 20" tires are cheaper and the wheels are only $25 more each, I may be able to spend money on the roll and come out close to even, if I can get it to work without any rubbing.

I have 245/35/20 tires on 20x8.5 with a +34 offset and have only slight rubbing when going over big bumps or having the car loaded with people. I do want to roll them soon but for now driving carefully keeps me from rubbing for the most part. I think if you went with the +45 and the 245 you won't have problems with rubbing

If the wheel is bigger, don't you go faster since it covers more road quicker?

I think that smaller wheels, eg: 17" & 18" need more power to spin faster.

Correct me if i am wrong. Anyone know more about this?

Its the increased weight that makes it more sluggish. You have a lot more rolling mass that needs to get going, thus causing it to be slower

I had 20X10s on the rear (20X9's front) and I had A LOT of rubbing issues, I got some spacers which kinda helped but I still could not have more than 1 person riding in my back seat or I would rub....my MPG's also went wayy down to the 16-18 mpg range....oh yeah and that was highway mpg... so I went back to stockies....

Here is a pic with 20's

What kind of wheels are those? They look clean on the TL kind of what I wanted 5 spoke with no lip instead of the 3" lip I have on my wheels right now.

I think if you'd gone with an actual rubber band you'd have a thicker sidewall haha.

They are Toxic wheels. I loved them the second I saw them, but they only come in 20 inch...if they only made them in 19s I think they would be perfect!

Here is website..

All of your cars look great on 20s but ill stick to the 17-18s with a thicker sidewall, in Oregon we have a lot of potholes plus in my opinion the ride isnt quite so harsh with thicker sidewalls

The only options I would consider would be 18's or 20's 19's are too rare and will end up having a higher upkeep cost. Nice pics gents

Not sure what kind of car you have but keep in mind. TSW does not make a rim to fit on a TL with Brembo front brakes.
A spacer would be needed or call TSW direct to verify fitment.
That is what held me up from buying a TSW rim initially.

20x8.5 +40 with 235/45/20 for some odd reason it only rubs on my front driver side fender... When I turn right!! I need to roll it and the problem should be fixed. 20s can either make or break your car.

Custom Lexani 3-Piece color matched inner spoke. 20x9 fronts 20x10's rear.

Again Custom Lexani 3-Piece color matched inner spoke, machined outer spoke, and polished lips.. 20x9 fronts 20x10's rear.

I feel like 20's are too big for the TL.. I have a 07 kbp and was looking to get vossen cv3's but I personally think they'll look too big for the car..
