a-spec suspension doesn't really lower you all that much.

With aspec (which I would not even consider as a real drop), you should go for 245/40's. If you want to be safe, roll fenders or go 235.

For reference, here are 18x9.5+38 with 245 in the back, 225 in the front.

i want to eventually go lower. but for now, i dont want to roll my fenders too much. just enough so that it doesnt rub. but i was thinking either 235 or 245.

Im on Tein SS almost maxed out. I would say its a good 2 or 3 inches lower than aspec suspension. Heres another pic with the rear a bit lower after switching to 235's in the back

How easy is it to raise and lower the car. Like i dont mind a stiff ride im looking on getting mine dropped before the summer hits. Just ordered the A-spec kit and a set of wheels.

Ill put up pictures when im all set

Or anything good you can suggest. Im looking for the full kit. Thanks everyone

I wish I had read this thread before I asked my question! So the 18x9.5 do fit without any problem on the third generations TL's. Any recommendation on the offset?

Rolling your fender

If you look inside your wheel well there is a lip on it. Depending on how big your wheels are they tend to rub on the tire when hitting a bump or under load or when you slam the car . So the process rolling is when you fold that lip upward so its flush/parallel with the inside of your wheel well.

Here is an image of the process and the tool to do it.

Sorry not thread jacking but didn't want to start another thread for a small question. Does the TL come with half the fenders rolled? I was installing S-tech springs today with a buddy and noticed that for both my front and rear fenders, the back half of the fenders are rolled but the front half arent. If it does not come rolled then what is the benefit of only rolling half the fender?

Regarding the A-SPEC, it will not lower you car that much. I set my TL 04 with A-SPEC with TENZO 18x9 with a 35 offset. Tires are ACHILLES 245/40/18, and I've had no problems, with a great ride!

Yes, my fenders are rolled slightly (not paper thin, like how the stance'd cars do it because im afraid of rust). Borrowed a fender roller and did it myself.

Heres another photo showing the fitment at 18x9.5+38 with 225/40 up front, 235/40 in the rear. Ignore the ugly mitsubishi :p

http://dougboy.smugmug.com/Automotiv...52_vWcTA-O.jpg

And yes, ilovemangoes, I was surprised the front was already semi-curved. So jut roll the rear and bend the fronts a little more and you;re good
