'05 TL fish tailing/rear end feels loose problem
-the problem am having is stability issues from rear end of my car(05 TL)
-problem occurs when the car is:
- loaded with passengers (2 or 3 people at the back) max 400 Lbs in total
- on any pavement less than dry ( light snow covered roads or even on wet surfaces).
-the rear end starts to wonder or seems to be fishtailing from side to side.
-suspension is (Koni yellows-3 way adjustable).
-winter tires on all 4 sides(20000 kmks on them)
-In the summer time, i had similar problem with my summer tires(brand new)
When i drive with no passengers in the back seat, the car feels planted, no fishtailing.
At lower speeds(20-30 km/h), its not noticeable, any higher and the rear end starts wondering side to side therefore i have to continually adjust the steering to keep the car straight.
any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Drifting
there seems to be a lot of that going around. But on these TL's, when the car is loaded or banking in a curve (which will cause one side to go down), the toe-in goes more positive. If you car is already too positive, then when it is loaded it get much worse. So, that could be causing traction problems if wet-ish , when loaded. But I'm only guessing!!
my car was bad on the highway too. Always trying to keep it str8. I think it might be solved since I just got the rear toe-in corrected. I will find out this weekend

there's a toe curve graph for TL rear suspension somewhere,,,(IIRC V6p)
but if you put more than 200lbs in the back, it does that and it's "normal" (Forgot whether toe out or in, probably out.)
If you carry heavy loads frequently, get alignment with the load in the back. That's what I did when I put 400lbs in the trunk.

There should really be a sticky about this since there are so many threads about this every week. Your toe is out of spec. An alignment should correct it.
