Yet another problem with my TL engine won't turn over.

I'm really starting to regret my purchase. I have had many problems with my TL since I bought it. luckily most were covered under warranty. Now that its out of warranty I have had three more issues, cruise control switch failed, another dying battery and now my car won't start. I tried to start my car today and the engine would not turn over, it started fine yesterday other than being slow to turn over. I already knew the battery needed replacement, so I changed that about an hour ago, but still the engine will not turn over.

Any ideas on what the issue is now?

Did you check the voltage? Def not alternator. Maybe a fuse? Fuel pump?

Oh snap how do you like the Infinity G sedan ad on the Acura forum LOL!

all seems fine now

after searching the threads I followed another guys steps and got it started. I tightened the terminal connections on the new battery, and while I was starting it I just gave a couple of pumps with the gas pedal and it started right up. I tried again this morning and it started up fine again (without having to give it gas). I have no idea what the problem could have been. I think your fuel pump suggestion seems possible. The terminal connections were already pretty tight though I was able to turn the bolts pretty easily. And even then it still wouldn't start the first time until I gave it gas. But now it starts up fine without having to do that.

The only thing I noticed now is a slight strange smell, but not sure what it could be, I took it to the dealer first thing this morning, but they didn't find anything related to the problem. I'll keep an eye on it.

if you want to do a cold start you turn the car on, press the pedal to the floor for about a second, release and start the car. Doing that tells the ECM to do a cold start

Did you clean the inside if the cable terminals .. even a slight film on the - side will cause starting issues.

I had the same smell, went away relatively quickly. Are you still detecting said smell?

I lost my manual

I was pretty good about keeping in my glove box; but as soon as I took it into the house to read through it, I never got around to putting it back in the car.

I did this morning, but not again today. It usually occurs in the morning but I've only driven it twice since last Saturday.
