WOW wtf is wrong with my car (PLEASE HELP)

ok so I noticed one of my corner lights wasnt working (switchbacks) today so I attempted to troubleshoot. I messed with the connector, switched corners from one connector to the otherside, etc trying to see where the problem was.

So, I figured out it was the corner. The signal would still work, but the corner did not. So now I put everything back together and ALL HELL BREAKS LOSE!!!!

I went for a drive and put the signal on that was the same side as the probelm switchback. My nave and interior lights start changing between night and day mode! wtf!!!! same happens when I put on my hazzards. I got home and tried it again and then my signal indicator on my dash would just freeze on and my nav and interior lights would change from night and day again.

I recently put in accord fogs, but nothing has been of any issues until today (almost a week later).

We have been getting a lot of rain, not sure if that would make a difference. Also when I lock the car, my right rear signal will blink with the brake lights.

Does ANYONE have any clue what the problem could be????? This is fucked up and not safe for driving. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks.

ok so I just replaced the faulty switchback with with my original 7443 bulb and everything is normal again.....

would it have anything to do with the resistor and the non-functional switchback that is causing my whole interior to blink???? so confused by this one.

edit: 'LOSE' in my first post should be 'loose' for all those anal about spelling errors....

^ You wasted that thought

Try putting the switchback on the other side and see what happens.

I have the same switch back, my left side burned after 2 hours. I contacted V-LEDS and the switchback model is SOLDOUT. They are now putting out a Version 2.

It wasnt as bad as you, but me the trunk wouldnt open after one switchback burned. I had to pop the trunk manually from the trap in the back seat, just a PAIN in the A....

Since I replace my LEDS with bulbs, everything came back.....really strange how some small lights can cause CHAOS so easilly lol

i had that problem with my LEDs. I had the same symtoms (interior lights all fucked up and all and only one side worked with the blinkers)... you need to 'flip' them... the LED's only go in one way into the socket. Hope that resolves it.

Hmmm, that's a concern I have about these bulbs. In most LED arracy (bulbs, panels, etc.), the desiger typically manufactures the item with a single resistor that accounts for a certain operating voltage (i.e. 12.5V) and uses that and only that. Problem is, most alts put out 14.4V, and thermal wear is the SINGLE greatest destroyer of LEDs.

I don't know about their future designs, but I know that if I do wind up running these, the output will be regulated. I would like to know if V2 is rated for 14.4V or 12V. I can tell you this much - if it's 12V, there's going to be a looooooooooot of pissed off TL drivers in a year or two.

I hope you have better luck in the second go-around.
