windshield wipers stopped working
I was driving to work last week when it started raining, when I turned the wipers on, they worked for about thirty seconds and stopped working in the middle of a heavy down pour. Took the car in to the dealership for warranty repair and the service advisor told me he has seen several Tl's with this problem. Just wondering if any of you have had such a problem.
funny thing, i just noticed mine aren't working now either...i have an '04 automatic, non-navi with 49,350 miles...they were working not too long ago...recently i washed it and lifted up the wipers to dry underneath them....could i have bumped something that would cause them to stop working? ....damn i hate taking my car into the dealership....

Noticed mine had stopped working this morning - last used about a week ago. '04 TL, Navi, AT. 45,900 miles. Classic Acura/United Auto Turnersville is the next stop tomorrow morning.

That is a hazard. I'm glad nothing happened to you when your wipers went.
I love how Acura left quality control to the consumers with the TL. Terrible.
For those TL owners that experienced the failed wiper motor, log it with the US NHTSA.

Definitely, the wiper motor should not be going-out on a car that is only 1 or 2 years old. This is a safety issue.
Acura needs to recall or at minimum, a TSB on the wiper motors.

Hello cullal,
I had the same TSB b05-033 performed on my 05 Navi TL. For those that do not know what is TSB b05-033, the issue is if your windshield washer fluid is frozen and you attempt to use the washer fluid, this can cause the the windshield washer motor to temporarily overload and blow fuse No. 20 in the under-dash fuse/relay box for all 04 and some 05 TL models.
This will effect the power mirrors, the inside auto dimming mirror, the power seat position memory, and the windshield washer do not work. The dealership will replace the 7.5A with 10A fuse. I noticed in the owner's manual for the 06 TL models that fuse No. 20 is 15A.
The new problem people are reporting on this forum are their wiper motors failed and the dealership had to replace the wiper motor.

I had a similar problem in the first year of ownership of my 2004 TL. My dealer replaced the wiper motor, no problem at all. My guess is that there was a problem with Acura's supplier.
