Windshield washer squirter pointing in the wrong direction

I have kind of a weird problem. My driver's side windshield washer squirter (I guess that's the correct name for it lol) is pointed in the wrong direction and when I use it, the wiper fluid literally squirts over the roof

How can I adjust the direction of it?

try cleaning it first...might be dirt lodged in it

dont know how it would get turned on its own....hehe, I was young before and we used to turn ours pointing to each side of the vehicle and spray (friends of course) as we rode by them

Clean the washer nozzle to make sure it's not a debris problem (like wax buildup over the washer nozzle from waxing the car) deflecting the spray.
Otherwise, try inserting a paper clip or pin/needle into the washer nozzle and pressing down lightly to adjust the nozzle angle.

Use a smaaaaaaaalll flathead screwdriver, insert lightly and you can adjust the spray height. This is actually common on pretty much all TL's, and can be useful if you think about it. Total douche lifted truck tailgating you>spray windshield washer over roof>they have to wash their truck. Winning.

The paperclip idea worked easily for my 04 TL. A little trial and error and I was able to adjust them perfectly. My windshield, and not just the top of my car, can actually be cleaned now.

when does it squirt on the roof? if you say "when i am at reat" then that is what it does. pretty sure it was designed to be used in motion which forces the spray to hit in the correct spot while driving. otherwise it would only clean the bottom half of the window. when i am at a stop and i trigger the fluid it will spray back to the trunk, but as long as i am going 10+mph it does what it is suppose to. but the same is true on the top end, if you are going too fast it wont hit the entire window, only the bottom half. annoying sometimes, but a great design most of the time...in my opinion.

I had the same problem, but at the time was afraid to fix it myself. The dealer charged $20 bucks to adjust the sprayer.

I was parked at a red light and the in the next lane the guy in front tried to clean his windows and it missed his whole car and literally hit the hood of the car behind him. You might say he was cleaning the other guy's car. The guy behind had his hand out expressing "what's up". That was funny.
