Will dealer be able to fix this ?
After many months of putting up with a noisy drivers side front door, I decided to try to isolate the source of the noise, which sounds like 2 balloons rubbing together, basically a creaking noise coming from the top of the door.
I examined how tightly the door closes, and noticed that it is not closing tightly at the top, as I can fit the tip of my finger between the door frame and the seal on the body. Door closes fine elsewhere.
Is there any way they can remedy this? I have an appointment Mon.
Thanks for any info.

Hey Majofo.
Unfortunately, the problem is not visible to the human eye, but I can fit my pinkie in between the doorframe and the seal on the body at the top portion of the door. It almost seems like the top of the doorframe might be a little warped.
Since there is not a tight seal, there is a really annoying creaking noise when going over bumps. I've tried all kinds of lube (except for one), and the noise is still there.
Sometimes this car reminds me of my '81 Chevy Citation X-11......

Sounds like the typical noise that many have complained about. The best thing I've found is to really clean up the seals (all of them, even the channels the glass slides in) and use Shin Etsu grease. You don't lube the glass but rather where the seals sit in the door. Put the window all the way down and then slightly peal back the channel that runs from the mirror back along the inner top of the door. Clean it up and then apply a film of Shin Etsu. If you can't/won't get Shin Etsu, which would be a shame, then use silicone spray but spray a rag and then apply, don't spray the stuff directly on the door.
Shin Etsu --> http://www.bernardiparts.com/Shin-Et...8798-9013.aspx Great for every stinkin' seal on the car !
My car's been creaking and clicking lately so out to the garage I go to follow my own advice.

Thanks for the input.
Im just tired of lubing squeaky weatherstripping and shoving pieces of fuzzy pieces of velcro everywhere to get rid of noises.I have an appointment in the morning at a very good dealer in Atlanta. We'll see what they say.
I wish this car were as solid and quiet as my GF's 96 accord with 140k on the clock....
Sorry for the rant, just had to vent.

update
Just got back from the dealer. Since TSB had already been done, they just cleaned and lubed the seals. Seems to have worked so far. Guess I will just have to do this myself every few months. Not too big a deal.
Could have been worse, as the guy sitting next to me was told by his service advisor that his car needed a new headgasket to the tune of 2,000.
Kinda puts things in perspective....

Good to hear it's quiet. Now you have plenty of time to get the Shin Etsu grease. Seriously I did mine last night just like I said I was going to and it's dead quiet again this morning.
