Wierd Noise!
I have a 05 TL and after i run the AC for a while and park the car the next time i start up it makes this pretty loud purging sound. I took a look the last time this happened and it smelled like it might be AC freon hitting something hot and burning up but what would cause this? It looks like it's hitting a piece of metal below the radiator but it doesnt smell like radiator fluid? I've just been driving with the A/C off for now and it hasn't occured since...(knock on wood) but it's hot as hell out here any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

i had the same kinda thing happen to mine (06 tl) i took it in for a check up and it turned out to be a recall on one of the pumps. not sure if your problem is the same but i know for sure that the 04 05 06 tl have recalls so you may want to look into that.

Did you have to pay for the repairs or since it was a recall did acura cover the charges? I'll have to take it in then and see what they say and hope it's not too expensive haha appreciate the input!!

What do you mean its spraying out? do you physically see something coming out of the refrigeration lines? headers? now that would be unusual!

Well i havent seen it spray out but when it happens its pretty loud and i can see where its hitting the bottom of the headers and the onlt thing i can think of that sounds possible is that either the hose has a crack or the crimped seal is loose and allowing it to spray when pressure hits a certain level after the A/C has been ran. Just sucks that it happened during summer time! lol

Well i bought some refrigerant sealer and it seems there was a small crack but it looks like its doing its job because ive been running the a/c and no noise yet!(knock on wood) we'll see how long it holds up. im planning on replacing the hose soon but this will have to work for now
