Today I turned on my 07 TL and noticed a different whining noise than usual, I took it in to get the oil changed and their only recommendation for the sound was that it was my power steering. They said it was 6 oz short of power steering fluid but when they filled it , said i might need to replace the power steering pump, and I drove around for a bit it didn't stop. I found a video online with someone having the same type of noise, listen here... Anyone have any ideas?! Plz help! They couldn't really diagnose the issue cuz it's just an oil change/car wash place.

I heard the same, but the thread said the noise was when the car was cold, and it's summer here and I noticed once I drove home from work which was a 20 minute drive. Does temp really matter that much before I do that?

 

I had the same noise i did a power steering flush , haven't heard that noise since then.
Hope it dose come back it been a week so far.

Well, not sweet, but i think this is the same issue that im having. It just started a couple of days ago. Right now it comes and goes.
