No security confirmation on lock and doors relock when driving?

I have an '05 TL automatic w/ navigation, with about 42k miles on it. So I have the MID set to lock the doors at 10mph, and to get the security beep confirmation upon locking the doors with the keyfob. It has been set up like this since I purchased the car in February of this year. I have an odd problem that started earlier in the week...

Not only do the doors lock when I accelerate above 10mph, but they relock EVERY time I get over 10mph. For example: I pull out of my driveway and the doors lock like normal. I come to a stop sign, stop, and accelerate through the intersection and the doors relock themselves at 10mph. It happens every time I come to a stop (I do NOT shift out of D) then accelerate over 10mph.

This other issue started at the same time, I do not know if they are related or not. I do not get flashing lights or the beep alarm confirmation when I lock the doors with my keyfob. I also noticed the security light on the left front door does not blink after locking the door.

I verified the settings were not changed in the MID...

I have no idea what to check, I hope I don't have to pay the dealer to fix it.

Take it to an auto parts store and have them use an OBD code reader to check for any DTC's.

Does your seat memory/radio presets still work?

Yes the memory seats and radio presets work. The MID says "Driver 1 Detected" or "Driver 2 Detected" depending on if I use my master keyfob or my girlfriend uses her secondary keyfob when we unlock the doors and open the driver's front door.

On these newer vehicles there are many control modules you can scan for DTCs and they all house their own specific set of codes. Is there a particular control module that controls both the lock/unlock settings and the security system? If it is the same control module that controls both of these features, perhaps it needs reflashed or replaced...

AFAIK, there is only one data port to check DTCs...

If the seat memory is still working, then it sounds like you might have a bad MICU. This is probably best diagnosed by a mechanic with access to a HDS (Honda Diagnostic System).

The DLC won't automatically give you DTCs from modules like for instance the radio, or TPMS control modules, etc. If you have a capable scan tool, you can retrieve those specific DTCs. I know someone that does, I'll have him scan it for me.

OP,
Did you get any resolution to this? My car just started doing it after I pulled the battery lead to reset the ECU to clear the MID after I changed out the evap purge solenoid.

Thanks for any further info.

Try this:
Lock the doors with the keyfob by pressing the lock button 2x.
Did the door lock/alarm confirmation beep sound?
-If so, pull on all 4 door handles, they all should be locked.
-If not, pull on all 4 door handles, one probably did not lock.

This is my car's issue. Intermittently the right rear door does not lock. If the computer detects a door not locking, it will not arm the anti theft system.

I have not taken the door panel off to see what it is yet, but either the linkage is sticking or the actuator is going bad. If I manually press the lock pin in, the alarm arms fine with the keyfob.

DTC won't be set for a problem like this. Only surefire way to check is at the dealer with their HDS,they can test every circuit/operation.
