Sounds like an axle to me. Wheel bearing would be making noise going straight as well. They're not too much money, and you can get aftermarket for less. Autozone, NAPA, etc.

Does it sound kinda like a crunching sound? Based on happening mostly at low speed with the wheel turned I'm going to say CV joint. ToughOne axles from Advance are reasonably priced (for MT at least) and not too hard to replace.

Start out cheap. I had the same issue on my Accord and all I had to do was bend the brake dust shield back and the sound is gone! Eveyone on forums tend to go to the worst case right off the bat.

Like anx1300 said, it won't be the bearing and it could be the axle, but it's hard to say. Axles make kind of a clunking sound and they're under 100 bucks. The labor is were they'll get you though, but still, it shouldn't be no 500! You should be able to tell the difference between a rubbing brake shield and a damaged axle.

Unlikely that it's the wheel bearing. You would hear it no matter what the steering wheel position is and it would get louder as you drive faster. You'll get sort of a hum at highway speeds.
