What's up with passenger side window?

I just bought an 04 TL and the passenger window goes down but only goes up if you press button to first position. If you press the button to the second position it goes up 3 inches and goes right back down. This happens with the drivers side button and the passenger side button.
I have tried to push and hold the button for 5 seconds after it stops going down but going up it will never go up all the way. Thanks

There are TSBs on this in the 3G Garage, but the first step is to clean out the window tracks/channels and lube with silicone-based lube.
If that doesn't work, then worry about the regulators, etc.

Hello, I am also new to the site and traded my 00' Accord V6 for a 05TL. I am having the same issue. Unfortunately my issuse reared its ugly head right when I pulled up to the carwash luckily it went up before the guy came back with my card. lol...

are there any other parts that should be replaced along with the regulator being as the panel will be off already?

Thank you for your time...

Mine did this for a while as well. Pretty embarrassing when my friends get in the car and it goes up and down on it's own. It seems to be better for now, but my driver window kinda bounces when it goes down. I should probably try to clean it out. When I took it to Acura they sprayed it with WD40 and said "I should be fine now"..Thanks Acura

Nope, just the regulator.
Should cost you ~70 USD new.

I was in the same boat. Pulled apart, cleaned it... whatnots.
And I agree, it is highly embarrassing.

Until you get the part in, here's a few things that helped me (for some reason).

Press the window to position 1. Then press up again-then down-then up. For some reason if I got beyond a certain point it'd work fine.

If that doesn't work, the ghetto way is reaching across and tapping in on the top of the window as it went up. This way worked every time for me (usually followed my my girlfriend/friends saying "Nice Acura...")
