What mods would mess up my O2 sensor reading?
I've been on here awhile, and i read soo many threads when i searched "oxygen sensor"; but none of them really seem directly related to mods....
long story short, took it to a few guys, and they're all saying because of my mods, my O2 sensor doesn't read properly.
~ and yes, this is tied to me passing inspections again...(yes i know i could just "work" around the system...but just in case i'm missing something big, i thought i'd ask, plus if it's something simple i'd rather not go through the hassle of "procuring" an inspections sticker + if i end up selling the car it wouldn't be an issue for that either)
is there an actual known case for O2 sensors failing with mods? it just seems so odd, because i only have about 30k miles on the car.....so i dont think my O2 sensors are bad, all i need is for the O2 system on the OBDII to say ready and i can pass inspection.
or
i just need the CAT light to say ready to pass emissions..(but since i dont have CAT 2,3) that's not happening right?
also, for those with intermitten CEL and no codes stored, one mechanic is claiming that because my O2 sensors aren't reading properly from the mods, that sometimes it doesn't read right, and thats when CEL flickers

well a tb spacer or intake mani spacers might throw off your AF ratio which could lead to bad readings. Your Jpipe & test pipe (3rd cat delete) shouldn't create an issue. Are they sure it's just not a bad o2 sensor? did a CEL occur right after any particular mod? Either install a new o2 or remove tb spacer and then do a reset cycle to see if that works. I'm sure there is someone who has encountered this.

PM Tripnbeats.. he said he had o2 CELS after his AEM V1 / TB spacer / Mani Spacers and it ran too lean.. he then balanced his setup by removing precats. You might also try to find a wide range o2 if available that can measure the lean AF ratio accurately.

i juss installed my precats like about a 2 months ago and now my CEL came up. it was my o2 sensor, but how would i know which sensor it is. and also if i get a new sensor would it still come up again? sorry if i thread jack, but its kind of the same topic so iono.
