What is this clicking noise coming from....

I have been noticing clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle under the hood.

It would make a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel during in park and slow speed and reversing.

Is this a sign of a tie rod or ball joint going bad?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

A clicking sound while turning and moving could be a sign the CV joint is going or gone. Inspect you CV boots and see if they are torn.

yeah my friend checked out the vehicle and the ball joint had a tear in it, so planning to replace the ball joints this weekend.

he believed this was due to the power steering pressure line leaked and it created a higher stress on the ball joints causing it to tear and now is making this clicking noise when i turn the steering wheel.

after we replaced the power steering line....and i found out that there is a recall on it...FML.

FYI, send a copy of the receipt to Acura and you will be reimbursed for the power steering hose replacement if it was not previously done under warranty.

Also, the recall requires that an O-ring on the low-pressure PS hose also be replaced; it's a simple 5-minute DIY if you'd rather not drop the car off at the dealer.

oh cool....thanks for the info! i bought the power steering hose through Kalebl at Honda, im surprised they didnt mentioned that to me. I'll definitely see if i can get it reimbursed at Acura....that hose was like $100!

Yeah I did the o-ring change last year when it was making the whiney noise.

THanks again for the info!
