so ive had my car for about a year now. when i first got it i went to get it tinted all around. and now i noticed my rear window looks purplish. the thing is that none of the other window are purple and i never wipe the windows with any ammonia products. i do remember my back window looking kinda of bluish before i got it tinted. weird thing is that it only looks purple from the outside. but looking from the inside out it looks regular. anyone else have his problem? im thinking the window color plus tint is making it look purple

 

take a pic and post it- hard to picture what ur saying unless where u park consistenly has the sun blasting on primarily the back window

happened to my 98 525i a while back only because it was a really awk parking situation

 

Tint Fade?

If so, and it's got one those "Lifetime Warranties", you should be covered.

 

if you look from the inside out, i looks fine. but looking from the outside in, it looks purplish..

 

How much did you spend on the tint? usually cheaper tint uses a dye. Dyes can fade. Hence the purple-ish hue.

What shop did you take it to, in Houston? Most shops carry a lifetime warranty on their work. Dig up the receipt and take it back, homie!

 

checked the receipt and it says 1 year warranty
weird that its only the back one..
