weird clicking noise when i make a left turn!

Hey acurazine, just recently i've been noticing this clicking noise, almost sounds like something is loose or something around the front drivers wheel area. I checked and found nothing hanging out or anything.

It only happens when i make a left turn. It will click a few moments and its gone. Sorry i dont know how to post sound clips. You guys think my brakes are going bad and need to replace asap?? Thoughts??

That, or control arm bushings, or CV joints. Take it to the bank.

sounds line a CV joint click which is part of the axle. Check to see if you have a ripped boot thats really the only reason your CV joints would be worn assuming you don't have really high mileage

I have this issue too...but mine sounds like it's from the steering wheel. My sister's 04 does it too. Hate it.

I got an appt with the dealership this coming wednesday so i am gonna have them check it out. Is this covered under warranty? I bought it in october, 2006. I have no extended warranty. The car has 32000 miles!

Other question it is 4 yrs 40000 miles i think so do i still have warranty till this october?

Thanks for your help acurazine!!

Make sure the dealer don't damage your wheels.

dont count on axles covered at this age--seems like something they would 12/12 on you

look in your warranty book or acura.com

its very easy to lose a cv joint early in rough roads, burnouts especially with wheels turned, or loss of grease by torn boot

I guess if you beat the hell out of it but typically I would expect at least 100K from an axle

CV boots and axles will also go out early if you're dropped.

I have the same sound on my 2005 with 46,000 miles. Mine only makes the noise when it's really cold though.

Thanks again acurazine for your thoughts and comments. I am gonna swap rims for sure though. The lug nuts are duraluminum by rays. So if they use air compressed wrench it will damage them. And the dealership already messed up once by rotating my tires when i told them not too. Not gonna take a risk!! thanks again!!

Oh man i was swapping rims yesterday and i found out that one of my wheels tpms sensor bracket has broken or came loose. Darn two piece wheels. But it turns out the noise was from that. So i have to take it to the tire place and have them uninstall the tire so i can see what is up!
