wat should i do about the rust on my door?
my dealer has been putting this off for a year now and have taken it in 3 times to get somthing done about it, but nothing so far. He says he doesn't want to replace the hole door and neither do I. He said he'll call acura corp. to see wat to do. What should I expect to be done? any advice?<a href="http://img16.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tnpicture0801uu.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6488/tnpicture0801uu.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www

ask the dealer to give you the dist manager's number, or call another dealer to get the dist manager's number, I wouldn't let this slide. Might not hurt to get a new door.

the door has bee taken apart a couple times and can't see anything wrong. I'm thinking that it is an eternal part inside the hallow channel inside the bottom of the door where they r fused together. If thats the case then should i demand a new door?

If you don't find it, that's another story. It's hard to tell from the pictures if the discoloration is actually rust or maybe some kind of lubricant staining the relief hole. Maybe ask the dealer to fully clean out the inside of your door to see if it still happens. What happens when you try to clean the hole with a rag and rubbing alcohol, do the brown marks disappear? (if not, then the hole is probably rusting out, proof for the dealer)
I just looked at my door ('04 bought on 3/2004) and no sign of brown stain/rust. I do wipe down the door in that area after every wash but I don't think this would help in your situation since the brown stain looks like it's from water flowing *out* of the hole.

So the dealer tells me that he must check the bulitin on my rusty rusty door and get back to me. One week later and three trips to the dealer in a year of this bull crap he tells me that there is nothing he can do and well not replace the door! He tells me to keep an eye on it, which I have in the last year. I look at it 3 times a day and am disgusted with their professionalizm. Would it make a diffrence if I call the district manager? I plan to take it to my body shop for a second opinion. Anybody with any good advice would definitly be appriciated.

Wow you guys truly are ridiculous.
It's the weep hole. Since water can travel down the window into the door it needs somewhere to exit. Do you think the rain water that falls down in the door is clean? It's full of road dirt kicked up from other cars.
Is it really rust or just dirt? Did you try cleaning it?
