Is VSA/ABS Pump modulator revivable??
About a month ago I had an accident were my front end received some damage. It was the passenger side, with damage to the headlight and PS reservoir tank. I fixed everything already, except for the VSA/ABS Pump unit. (06 TL AT) Sorry for the long explanation ahead.
The unit did not appear to be damaged at first, even though I saw a small crack in the plastic housing. After a few days of driving around (without a headlight), all of a sudden, the VSA, Brake and ABS lights turned on. (brakes work fine) I read the error code from the car and it said that it could not establish a communication with the ABS module. I tried clearing the code, but it keeps coming back as soon as I start-up the car. I will post the code later.
I took a closer look and noticed that the crack was actually much bigger then I thought initially and that probably caused something to disconnect/break internally. Is there a way to diagnose or repair the unit without disconnecting all the brake lines and removing it? Could it be a fuse?

Removing an ABS pump plays havoc with the montoring system so look into a used unit as they can be had for $35 up.
