VSA/ABS Problems???

The VSA and ABS indicator lights came on my dash while driving yesterday. It stayed on for a while, then disappeared. It came back on this morning and has not disappeared. I looked in the owner's manual about this. It stated that in this condition, the VSA and ABS are off and the brakes are on conventional means. Has anyone had this problem? What is the fix for it?

Side note, I don't want to take it to the dealers. I don't trust them!

Check and see if the D light is blinking if you have a 5AT or if you have a 6MT, see if the car transmission is not behaving normally. If that is so, your transmission is bad and will soon go into limp mode where you can't rev over 3k.

Could be a faulty Sensor or some kind (Wheel Speed Sensor??). And, if it were me, I'd take to the dealer.

I have a 6MT, and my tranny isn't doing anything weird.

I would probably do better to take it to an independence certified Honda/Acura repair shop. I don't think they will blow smoke up my ass.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys!

Well csmeance, you might be right. My tranny/clutch is starting to act weird now. I'm getting a slight vibration feel when pressing the clutch pedal. Also shifting has gotten alittle sluggish. It has been over 3k since I changed my tranny fluid with Royal Purple. Do you think it's time to change again?

Problem solved!

FYI, my car is all better now. I had my speed sensor replaced. Then I took it to the dealer, and had them reset my VSA by doing a neutral position memorization. It cost me over $300, but I'm happy now.
