Hmm i have an 04 model and I usually leave my lights on then tap the lock button on the remote 2 times to make them turn off. When I hit the unlock button they turn on immediately .

check the owner manual for your year--it seems to have changed at some point on how to activate this feature

here is the free owner book link if you dont have one- click year then model

i have an 06...and if i leave the lights on and turn off the car and lock the car with the fob(x2) the lights turn off, and then when i hit the unlock button they turn on. if you dont hit it twice to lock they will turn off, but not for a few minutes. the trick is to leave them on all the time.

i dont advise this because you will cause excess wear on the light components if you are turning them on and off and not allowing them to fire up all the way. if you just need to grab something out of your car quick you will be unnecessarily turning them on which will cause them to burn out quicker.

blkaspec is correct- it does cause extra wear on HIDs to fire them up the immedialty off...actually its refiring them immedialty that really puts the hurt on them

I drive with my lights on most of the time but park with them off since I installed kaixen bulbs (gen2) It was cheaper to install better driveway/walkway lighting for the wife than leave the car lights in ~visual help to the house door~ mode
Even found 6000k lights at lowes for the outdoor lights- matches the car lights!

About the lights on then off issue, I use auto headlights and during the day, when I drive into the garage the HIDs will come on, then I'll turn the car off. This is going to cause the same wear and tear eh?
