Not long ago i found a deal on eBay, it was some Japanese made headlight with a cleared out signal and black interior casing (my dream headlights) i went ahead and bought them. when they arrived, i tried putting them in and found that a bunch of things were off in terms of dimension. the space for the ballast was smaller and the whole for my signals were bigger than the signals from old headlight. i was able to use crude house hold equipment to mount the ballast and properly seal the hole (took hours). like i said i also noticed that my turn signal socket from my old headlight was smaller than the hole provided in the new headlight. so i went ahead and used slilcon to seal the little space that was left. i also attempted to install switchback LED's. also the hid back cover from the old headlight was bigger than the space provided for the new one(which came with out the cover). out of frustration i decided to fix the headlight back in to my car covering the back with duck tape.
i turn the car on and tried my headlight. everything worked badly.

drivers side:
hid came on fine, drivers side signal (switchback) did not come on at all.

passengers side:
hid did not come on (only came on when i fiddle with the connection as in remove and put it back or push on it), passenger side signal(switch back LED) came on (white). does not signal to amber though.

at this point i am so frustrated and tired, have no more money to spend because i'm a student.

Seems like you have the CDM or Chinese Domestic Headlights! If I'm not mistaken, everything should work fine except for the turn signal housing. I do believe the new housing utilizes a different socket to fit it. Search "CDM" or chinese domestic as all of this info has been covered
