Type S refuses to reverse, drive, and move in nuetral

2008 Acura TL Type S
69k miles
Very well maintained and dealership

October 5th Car ran perfect and no problems. Took car through a touch less car wash which includes undercarriage wash.

October 6-8 Did not drive car at all. Clay bared, sealed and waxed.

October 9th: Finished detail and was ready to take it for a spin so I started car. I shifted to reverse and car rolls a tiny bit and stops. It felt like something was behind the tire but that is not the case. So I then shift to drive and same result it goes nowhere. It tries but something is preventing it from moving. I then shift to neutral and try to push it out of garage and refuses to move. Ebrake is off and not lights or codes are going off. Not sure where to start looking for issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does it sound like the car is switch from D to reverse when you change it?

I would check the parking pin switch first:

Yes, it feels like it switches from drive to reverse.

Tested Park pin switch and it tested good. Does anybody else have any other ideas or sensors to check. This is such a freak random problem.

Are you saying that with the trans in neutral you can't manually push the car at all? Give it some gas, still no go? If so, check the brakes.

How far from car wash to home? Did you go anywhere else in way home? If you went straight home and never warmed up brakes then you very likely fused the pads to the disks. This can be very hard to "pop" free but you can with enough power applied in bursts. A loud pop will happen as each fused corner releases. If this is the case you will likely have a pronounced vibration when braking. It may go away but more likely not and you will need to live with it, resurface the disks or replace them.

I learned this the hard way (washed car in driveway and pulled into garage for days) I now make sure to go out and get the brakes good and warm before parking it.

You should start by checking to see if each wheel spins freely by jacking up the car and spinning the wheels.

seems like your brake pads fused to the rotor. Like 01acls says, jack up the car and see if you can spin the wheels.

I agree with checking if the heels spin freely......once i unknowingly ran over a plastic bag and it got caught between the rotor and brakes and the car would not move at all. I took off each wheel and spun the rotor to find right rear was filled with melted plastic it was frozen solid.....took off caliper and chipped away. finally movement. From that day forward when I see them flying around I do my best to say clear.
