Turn signals making navi and lights dim out?!?!?!
Turn signals making navi and lights dim out?!?!?!
ok this is gonna be hard to explain but ill try my best. i have a 08 TLS and when i use my turn signals while the lights are on auto or on parking only the entire center dims everytime the signal flashes.... My navi flashes thinking its going into night mode when its day time. But when i leave my headlights on and use my signals no problem. It only happens when the car thinks its day time. Everything dims like the turn signal is telling the car to switch to night mode and dim everything. ive gone inside out of the car cant figure out wtf it is.
As of right now i just put the interior lighting on MAX all the time to keep it from dimming out when i use my signals. Any had this problem? wtf does the turn signals have to do with my interior lights on the buttons and my navi.
HELPPPPP

This is a long shot but a pretty simple procedure. Your have to remove the driver seat. There is a ground on the front hump where the driver seat bolts to the body. The ground bolt bolts straight down. (it may have 5 or 6 little black wires running to one ground) Don't know why this could have come loose. At any rate...disconnect the ground to your battery first. Let me know what you find
ill check it out. Yesterday i checked the ground where you have to relocate when installing the AEM V2 intake. Everything looked fine so back to the drawing bored.
update when i turn the knob to just parking lights and hit the turn signal both of them come on now wtf. if i hit it left or right both signals come on at the same time. fml

Have you replaces any bulbs recently. Dual element in a single element location could cause some wierd problems...vice versa as well
those grounds that you speak of are for: things like the radiator fan, buzzer, hood latch, washer motor among others so if those components are working fine then you should be in the clear.

Does your edfc light pull from your dash lights? I've never hooked one up so I don't even know if you need a dash light source. I bring this up because our dash is a dimmable circuit and might make things act funny if the source expects a full 12v signal.
im pretty positive its tapped into the ignition wire. I unplugged my radar and my edfc to see if it would stop but it still kept dimming and messing up my turn signals.
