trunk sensor?? where is it?

trunk sensor?? where is it?

does anyone know where the trunk sensor is?
my multi function display doesnt show me when my trunk is open. i think it may be a bad sensor, anyone know where i can find it?

hah thats inside the locking mechanism and its a bitch to get into because its so small..... but good news is that the new lock only runs about $60ish from the dealer.hope this helps

I suggest checking to see if the light in the trunk comes on when it's open. It's another way to narrow down what you'll have to diag to figure out the problem. Replacement isn't too hard, just remove the lower half the inner trunk lining (some plastic clips/screws, depending on year, one screw, and the two rubber things), and then it's just two bolts, the connector, and the manual trunk cable release. The two bolts are 10mm. If you've never done one, I say it's a 20 minute repair. If you've done them before, lower that to 10 mins or less! This is assuming you're doing the latch assembly.
