Trunk cannot be opened - neither with inside switch nor remote

I already checked the switch in glovebox. I can hear the click to unlock the trunk when I hit either the inside button and the remote trunk button, but it doesnt open as much as I want to yank it. Any other way of opening it?

Open up the rear handrest, pull the leather cover back, then push up on the handle and pull back, that will give you access into the trunk. Reach to the back and there is a manual release. (designed for people stuck in the trunk). It is glow in the dark, shine a light to see it if you have to

It sounds like the trunk latch solenoid is messed up, or when the truck was last closed it did not seat right. If you have to, manually open it using the handle that you can reach through the pass through, if it does not pop up then have someone else pull up on the trunk lid while you are doing it.

You obviously have someone hiding in your trunk holding it closed.

Yeah, just bring it back to the dealer if you're under warranty and they'll replace the whole trunk latch for you.

I had a defective trunk latch last year...not sure how it happened, but i was driving home one day and the trunk popped open...i thought nothing of it at first..and closed the trunk...then i realized that everytime i went over a rough bump, the trunk would pop open...brought it to the dealer and they replaced it for free.
