Trunk Button
Trunk Button
My interior trunk my button isn't working. I've searched the threads and did all possible solutions from checking the valet switch to resetting the ECU, but still nothing. My remote switch on my keychain opens the trunk, but not my interior button. Any other resolutions or ideas to fix this problem? Thanx

if you are too lazy to spend 1 minute to pop open the panel to see if its disconnected...you can check it by turning on your headlights, and see if the trunk button backlighting comes on. if it doesnt, then the button is probably disconnected...or you have a dead bulb lol
Problem Solved!!
So it turned out to be the Valet trunk switch!
I looked at my trunk switch & made sure it was connected. Hit the switch, still nothing. So I took it apart to examine it more closely. The contact terminals look somewhat fried and a bit dirty. So I cleaned it & put it back together in hopes I wouldn't need a new switch, connected it back together; still nothing. So I decided to check the valet trunk switch & give it one more shot.
Earlier this month, I took apart my interior to change the bulbs on all my display buttons. Upon removing the glove box, the valet switch came apart. So I assumed when I put the valet switch back together, I put it back correctly. But I guess I didn't.
So when I put the valet switch back together correctly, & turned off the valet switch for the trunk, Ta-da! The trunk now opens.
Thanks for everyone's help, I'm just glad I didn't have to fork up any money for a new trunk button.
