Has anyone had problems with the trip odometer randomly resetting? It usually occurs after 400 - 500 miles. Please let me know. Besides the insesent rattles and the paint issues this is one that concerns me.

I can't remember ever hearing of this problem.

Do both A and B trip odometers reset?

 

It seems only Trip A most of the time, but sometimes it affects Trip B. Since the fuse box was replaced at one time, I was suspecting an intermittant problem with that again.

 

Sounds like a job for the service department. It could be the reset switch, or an intermittent current failure problem, or any of a number of other things.

 

I think the trip odometers only go up to 999 and then they "wrap" around back to 000.

 

In the last couple of months, my A trip odometer has been resetting itself for unknown reason. I use it to track gas mileage. So Im not getting up over 320 mi before I gas up and it resets. Weird. If anyone gets a solution please let us know.

 

Curious, does the Trip computer reset it's mileage for avg MPG? or is this isolated to the A/B trip meters?

 

So far its just the trip A odometer. Have not checked the trip B odometer or the avg mpg display. Next time it happens, will check the B odometer.

Mine has been resetting since I bought the car new. MY 2008. The avg mpg resets too.

 

So far no solutions or idea what is causing this.

I have a 2010 with the same problem. All "Trip Odometer A" settings reset at less than 1/4 tank. Does anyone know the fix? TIA.

 

Still having my intermittent problem - On trip Computer: AVG MPH and MPG reset with miles and time remain. Not the end of the world, but I do like to track my MPG.
