Question Transmission case leak

After doing a major overhaul of all my oil leaks I still noticed a small leak. Apparently there's leaking on the underside of tranny case right where the seal would be.
Not major at the moment. It would only accumulate in few drops on the ground overnight.

Would it be better to just keep checking the fluid level and leave it as is? I figure that it would be better to rebuild the tranny at that point if your opening the unit to replace the seals.

Does it need a rebuild?

It’s not I like an auto tranny. Just pop the top off and reseal it.

No, it does not need rebuild. My mechanic suggested a fix that includes cleaning the surfaces and adding some type of bond or welding.
I was just curious if others had experienced tranny case leaks that weren't due to something like an actual underside impact to the case.

It appears your automatic 06 TL comes from the factory with a #5 torque converter case gasket sandwiched between the TC case and transmission case.

From reading the helms I know the seal between the clutch housing and trans. case, on the manual transmissions, use hondabond; however, the autos employ a gasket.

If that is where you observe the leak, then either that gasket should be replaced or perhaps hondabond could be employed?

I don't think the leak is serious enough to drop the tranny and redo the gasket due to the high cost involved.
He wanted to repair the leak using epoxy or whatever on outside of the case instead.
Perhaps it was slightly overfilled when I did the 3x3x3 fluid change. I'll just keep close eye on it for now.
