Transmission

I Recently Bought An 07 Acura TL

I Test Drove The Car Now Problem
I Brung The Car To A Shop To Get New Fluids And They Show Me That The Transmission Is Melting Or Something

A Few Days Later I Start The Car, It Turns On But When I Shift It Into Drive Or Reverse The Car Doesn’t Move It Just Revs And The Rpms Go Up On The Dash

Anyone Have Any Idea What The Problem Could Be ?

Also Should I Just Replace My Tranny Or Rebuild It ?

That looks like JB Weld. Maybe they had a leak and thought that would fix it. It may not be related to the transmission not shifting.

Is the transmission fluid at the correct level?

Also, you don't need to capitalize every word.

1.) What is the trans fluid level?
2.) What is the condition (color/smell) of the trans fluid?
3.) Check the axles to confirm one isn't snapped
4.) Does the dash indicator flash or properly indicate what gear is selected?

OP you found that piece where under the car? When and where did you purchase the car? Dealer, private seller? I'd hate to see a black blob on my tranny.

Where did it leak from? Sounds like there are for sure structural issues with the transmission if the fluid is escaping that quickly. There are plenty of threads talking about transmission replacements

Not Really Sure Where You Leaked From , I just Know I Put the Fluid In I Came Back The Following Morning And Saw A stain under the car checked and it was empty again

when I looked up the part number it Came Up as something for the drive shaft assembly

Today I started the car put it into gear and it just rev’d like it regularly does but when I put it into park it made a grinding noise
