trans problem

This morning on my way to work I stopped for gas. When I went to leave I did not have Drive or reverse. It finally was able to move under its own power but shifting very weird and will just stop pulling the car. I did the ecu tcu reset drove okay for 1 mile then same thing. It’s a 2006 with 129k. Trans had a three x three change at 75k and 105k, not because of problems just being proactive. Any ideas on what would cause this..... one minute all good to all bad?

Not necessarily, just trying to rule out what kind of maintenance was done. Sometimes not being able to get into gear is associated with a broken axle as well, can you inspect to see if there's any issue there?

if you do a search using that code, you'll see that it typically means the demise of your transmission and switches won't really help. But here is the DIY for it nevertheless:

The torque converter clutch (TCC) is gone or worn out. It needs a rebuild at a trans shop, which means dropping the whole thing to get it done. I just did this last year on my AV6, but I caught the problem before the code came up.
