Tranny fluid question...

So I had a tranny flush done with Amsoil. My question is, what happens if the tranny is over filled?

Flushed, there's that word we don't like, but to answer you question depends on how much it's overfilled, 1/16" over the full line, 1/8" over, etc.

How about 3 inches from the upper mark?

Alright, here's what happened. I had a tranny flush done and they put in the right amount of fluid, but didn't drain the right amount. So, I was driving when I started seeing smoke coming out the engine bay. When I stopped and opened the hood, there was tranny fluid all over. I know now to drain some, but what I'm concerned about, is what damage that may have caused.

Somebody please chime in.

Im not sure but keep your receipt - or find it.
This happened to my friends Marauder- his was running over and burning on the exhaust downpipe - you want to make sure they have this on file that this was their fault and any following issues such as a tranny replacement need to be paid for at their expense due to their neglect
