The correct way to check the transmission fluid is to ensure the engine is fully up to operating temperature, shut it off, wait 60 seconds (and before 90 seconds), then take a reading on the stick. The fluid level needs to be between the two small holes.

Obviously, if you have just done a drain and fill, drive the car through all gears, including reverse, before taking the reading.

No-- after the engine and transmission have run up to normal temperature, you should park somewhere level, shut off the engine, then wait 60 seconds before checking the transmission fluid.

Yeah, whatdannyz said...

Engine off car level fluid warm, by the time you pop the hood its fine to check it no reason to wait. If you wait too long converter drainback will raise the level in the sump if the check valve leaks.

Man,you're just causing problems all over your car .lol

Double check the fluids as these guys instructed before you panic. Also,What kind of fluid did you use? you didn't use any additives did you?
