Tranny fluid HELP!!!
okay so I changed the tranny fluid in my automatic tl, and I got out over 4 qts, and I put back in about 3, and on my dip stick its looking way overfilled, idk how but it looks like it is, im checking my fluid with the engine running and with it in park, is this the correct way???

The correct way to check the transmission fluid is to ensure the engine is fully up to operating temperature, shut it off, wait 60 seconds (and before 90 seconds), then take a reading on the stick. The fluid level needs to be between the two small holes.
Obviously, if you have just done a drain and fill, drive the car through all gears, including reverse, before taking the reading.

Engine off car level fluid warm, by the time you pop the hood its fine to check it no reason to wait. If you wait too long converter drainback will raise the level in the sump if the check valve leaks.
