TPM sensor problem?

Hi all,
As we all know, there was a snow storm here in Vancouver yesterday.
Lots of snow and after a day, all snow turned into ice.

I park my car outside every day, and just tonight I started my engine and my TPMS tells me to check my front driver side tire pressure, I walked out and checked, tire wasn't flat. I went back in, checked the pressure and all tires have similar numbers.
I drove the car and everything seemed normal.

My guess is....maybe there's some ice covering that sensor on the wheel? How do I reset the message?

Any suggestion would be apprieicated.

There are several posts of this nature lately. Usually, it's because the air temps have fallen enough that the air pressure in your tires is low enough to trigger the warning. Mine even did it here in Phoenix. Air your tires to the pressures indicated on the door sticker with your tires COLD...not warm...and you will probably be fine. It doesn't take much of an air pressure drop to trigger the warning.

well, update....

the message went away while driving to work today. I guess the sensor was covered with ice.

The sensor is inside of the tire. Not sure were the pick up is though. But when you first get going after a cold day they will do this to you. The first reading you get after having new tires installed will give you 59 psi all around.

If the pressure drops below 27 psi, the warning will be triggered. You will then need to bring the tire(s) to at least 29 psi before the warning will stop being displayed.

The warning is not saying that "you have a flat tire." The warning is saying "at least one tire is below 27 psi."

No...what happened is the tires warmed up from being driven. That caused the air pressure to raise...and the warning to go off. Again, air the tires to the correct inflation while they are cold and the problem will be solved.
