Wow, nice deal.

Not sure how much the tensioner is but I just picked up the kit (with tensioner) from AckTL05 for $256 shipped. Check out the group buys in the black market if interested.

Even assuming those are genuine Acura parts, it's not that good of a deal. My local dealer sells the timing belt for $40, water pump for $98, and serpentine for $12. It's not a bad deal but you can get those prices locally if your dealer is willing to work with you.

ya thats what I was thinking when I kept hearing people making abig deal out of a 3 or 4 hundred dollar parts package from "sponsors". I was like, How much does a belt and a water pump cost these days?! hahaha And no I didnt go to church this morning.

No matter what the advertised price of the water pump and both belts, you should also replace the hydraulic tensioner along with them as most are found to be leaking when taken out.
And if you live anywhere in the Northeast, just get the whole job done at Hamilton Honda in South Central NJ for UNDER $500 out the door.

I wonder why Honda uses a timing belt instead of a timing chain? all these tensioners and water pumps to replace. (guarenteed @ 100k)

I've thought about this before. The belt requires replacement more often but chains fail too and they're usually much harder to replace. You also have tensioners and wear plates with those. I wouldn't take one much past 150,000-200,000 miles. Some brands are known to fail way too soon, sometimes before 100,000 miles.

An OEM serpentine belt for $12 ?? Are you sure about that?? The cheapest price I've seen is $26.67..
Also, water pump for exactly $90 and not $96? I haven't seen a dealer price for an OEM water pump for cheaper than $96.13
For timing belt, the cheapest price for OEM that I've seen is $40.50, so:
$40.50 + $96.13 + $26.67 = $163.30, plus tax = $174.73
$174.73 (dealer) compared to $167.50(ebay) (157.50 + $10 ship).
Summary, that e-bay deal still beats anything I've seen for these 3 items.

I think we're going to do that soon. There are at least two others that may come down to do the timing belts and valve adjustments. I just don't have the time right now. I'll probably take an extra Monday or Friday next year to do it.

You must have one heck of a dealer.....

texas is too far to drive if you are in cali and cali is too far to drive if you are in texas. I can appreciate a meet, but thats just too far to drive, especially if you have an accident. The choice is yours, but I surely can't commit to anything now.

I can't get over how much better your car looks in your avatar with a-spec and the new tires.. That worked out really well.
