Ended up just buying the one on Rockauto WVE 2M1190 after tax and shipping it was $53 or so with their 5% discount code. Car seemed to drive fine on my way home tonight, no issues at all.

I just installed the OEM part, did not install new gas cap based on everyone else's experience and glad I didn't because the problem is solved and saved a couple bucks. Very easy install just don't drop anything and be careful you transfer over the washers since the new part did not come with them (they were quite stuck to the old part). Have some flexible sockets handy and a magnet tool, no need to move the fuse box or any other parts. 15-20 minutes total including searching for tools.

Got some pictures up in here in this old thread!
Got the part today from RockAuto. WVE 2M1190. Guess what? Looks to be a Honda part! Denso Japan! So talk about a huge discount! $45 as opposed to $125+
Went ahead and installed it. Took me about 20-30 minutes. I replaced the top vacuum line too that I had laying around since I split it trying to take it off. Used little zip ties instead of those metal spring clamps.
Only needed a 1/4'' 10mm deep socket and ratchet for those 2 bolts. Had to be very careful taking the nuts off with the washers. Luckily I didn't drop anything. Had trouble finding the stupid purge valve to replace in the first place. Took the vanity cover off and found it.
Some photos:
Drove the car to work, and car had a smooth acceleration at part throttle, it would hesitate before! So yes having that solenoid go bad will cause performance issues. Old OEM original part was Denso but made in Mexico, go figure.
I will report back after a week to make sure everything is good, I will be very happy if that fixed my partial throttle load problem. And not having the stupid "check gas cap message" ever again.
