i got a 2007 TL-S and recently noticed my third gear is "loose"
when i accelerate or cruise really slowly and release the gas pedal it jerks. feels like a bad shift.

another thing im noticing is very rough and noticeable shifting. i can feel it jerk everytime it shifts. especially on light acceleration. warm or cold it does the same thing.but when its cold its even worst.

does anyone know if this is an issue or if theres a fix?

also ... i know that sometimes my car shifts weirdly when i am on hills due to the grade logic system ... do you notice that anytime you feel the car's transmission is behaving wierdly its on some sort of incline?

 

when theres an incline and im gonig up slowly. when it shifts i feel like i roll back abit....kinda like theres a lag time between the shift and it takes time for the next gear to engage.

 

Grade Logic only works when going DOWNhill to decelerate the car.
Check those links and also check the 3G Garage for the 3X3 ATF drain. Changing the ATF is a very simple and easy process. I know the fluid in my 06 with 29K was very dark and smelled burnt, so I changed it out immediately, along with the pressure sensors (peace of mind) and ATF filter. This Spring, I will be adding a tranny cooler to try to keep the temps down a bit more.
