There Is A Hissing Sound In The Cabin On Driver's Side

Hi,

I have an 06 TL with about 10,000km on it.

not sure when this started but when i'm in "Park" or "Neutral" or whenever, I seem to hear a small hissing sound.

It is from the driver's side and it seems like it is coming out of my left air vent next to the window but i just cannot pinpoint what it is or what is causing it.

This hissing sound appears when the fan is off. Obviously when the fan is on, you cannot hear it.

Also i tried turning the vent on and off using that little wheel scrolling thing. Still same hissing sound.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

It isn't super annoying but it is rather noticeable.

Mines an 07 TL-S that I just picked up 2 days ago and for a while when I'm driving I noticed a hissing sound as well that seems to get louder as I accelerate. When I sit still there's still the hissing sound so I know it wasn't a loose leak somewhere in the cabin. After playing around I realized the hissing sound was actually from my speakers when hands free link is engaged... I swore it was a real air sound but it wasn't. When I turn off hands-free link the sound goes away, just my

I have no idea at first it was driving me nuts thinking WOW a car like this and they can't get the sealing right? I honestly have no idea what it is but my guess would be something to do with the fact that the car is moving while trying to maintain connectivity with the phone via network stations. Glad I'm not the only one noticing it...

this is a common problem with the TL's for 2007. The ground is bad a new one is put it, take it to your dealers, there is a TSB for it here somewhere.
