Tanny shudder and hum help

hi everyone so i have a 2004 tl. with 140xxx miles on it and i have been the new owner of the car for about 8 months. i have noticed that when i am driving there is a hum at higher speeds that comes from what seems to be the transmission or torque converter and along with that when driving and especially going up hill there seems to be a shudder, it goes away if i accelerate harder but if i stay at a constant speed it shudders. i do not know what matance has been done to it. any help would be appreicated. i know there are lots of threads on this so sorry but thanks for any help!

your having a common problem, mine did the same thing, you need to change your fluid, I used genuine Honda dw-1 it seemed to work good with mine, and I also added some friction modifier for the torque converter shutter, it helped mine a lot, also you may want to look into changing your pressure switches, good luck, I will provide you with the repair manual in this link, it has everything you could ever want to know in it....http://www.nnstudios.com/azine/Acura...e%20Manual.pdf, And also with the hum, you will hear mixed info on it, some people say its just what all Honda trannys do, and a few have narrowed it down to a heat shield that vibrates, also could be your power steering pump. I have yet to figure mine out, it doesn't seem to affect the drivability of the vehicle.

good luck, and you will be fine with dw-1 fluid as long as your not planning on racing your tl every day, I picked it up for 8 bucks a quart at car quest, and they also carry the dr tranny heres the link http://www.lubegard.com/~/C-230/Dr.+...t+Shudder+Fixx, and I know several transmission specialists that swear by it its no bs.
