How the HELL do you get the clips in the ALL season TL mats for the driver side? i feel like its impossible unless you make the holes in the mats bigger.......

I can't seem to get the hooks into the holes either on my A/S mats. I just lay the mats over the hooks, they won't go anywhere.

had to force it in to the point I thought I'd break it. Worse was pulling it off to clean it. After that I just layed on top of the hooks. There's no real advantage to hooking it in.

Move the drivers seat all the way back, lift the rear of the mat and "angle" it in. That's all there is to it!!..

i got it...took a pair of pliers and put it in the hole and spun them around and widened it just a bit...now they fit perfect...

Mat Hooks

Lariat is correct. You put the seat all the way back and flex the mat so that its lower edge with the holes is almost upside down, insert the hooks, and then rotate the whole mat into position. I have left out the part about the cussing and the losing one of the holes and and then the other and starting over and more cussing.

The last time I took out the mats I looked carefully at the hooks. They curve up and back, and once the mat is in position it would be almost impossible for it to shift. I then realized that the barbs on the ends of the hooks were designed by Honda's liability lawyers, not the interior designers. I found that a small pair of wirecutters did a fine, neat job of clipping off the barbs. Reinstallation was a breeze. Counts as my second mod.
