I have a 2004 Acura TL 5AT with 86k miles. I recently just went skiing and made an 600 Mile trip. About 5 Miles from home I started noticing a weird sound coming from the right side of my car, I can't make out if it is the rear or front though. It almost sounds as if metal is rubbing on metal and it only happens from like 5-30 and quits if I'm making a left turn and gets worse with a right turn? Help would be appreciated! Thanks so much!

well I would suspect a couple things. description of sound is not consistent with what I would describe but its possible that it is the o-ring on your power steering pump which is a quick fix and typically starts when car is subjected to cold temperatures. description of sound sounds more like it could be one of the heat shields on the exhaust system rattling around. let us know what you find out!

If it were brakes I believe the OP would have mentioned that the sound was related to braking pedal pressure, but you never know?

i have a creaking noise coming from the right front wheel making right turns. I've read on the site that it could be the CV joint (even though the boot isnt torn). Happens when cold for me making right turns.
I investigated all of the issues you guys presented and thought I made a conclusion as to what it was until my engine light came on today... Now I'm stumped!
. Have an appointment Wed. to get it checked out.

I had a WEIRD annoying metal on metal sound...guess what it ended up being? the stupid cotter pin on the castle nut was pushed too far in and not bent back. 2 minutes and a pair of pliers fixed it for me...it touches the rear of the brake dust cover...check it out.
