I own a 2004 Acura TL with 56,000 + miles. The noise is only heard from the outside. When I begin to accerlerate I start hearing a flapping noise coming from the front wheel well. I can especially hear the noise when my window is rolled down and I'm driving beside a building ex: a drive thru at a resturant. I can't exactly describe the noise in words but it's a strange flapping ,cracking noise. It's not noisy just loud enough to hear it. It sounds like something maybe loose. Could it be my springs? Has anyone experience this with their own car? Any help is appreciated and thanks

 

huh, is there something stuck in your tire that smack the ground as you drive? does it have a consistent rhythm, or not really?

 

no I checked that already. It has a consistent rhythm. It has a cracking and flapping sound when in motion. Very hard to explain. I'm going to try to post a video/audio clip of it.

front wheel bearing, axle, axle nut not tight, wheel lugs not tq down, or lower covers are not clipped in.
